Please follow the instructions below on how to use the AhsayCBS Online File Restorer:

A. Enable the File Viewer

  • Take note: Do not run a backup job after creating the backup set.
  • Login to your AhsayCBS web management console.
  • Go to Users, Groups and Policies.
  • Select the backup user containing the backup set you want to check for Online File Restorer.
  • Click File Viewer.
  • On the backup set you intend to use, click the hyperlinked text File Viewer is disabled. Click to enable.
  • Scroll down and tick off the checkbox within the File Viewer section.
  • Click Save.
  • Run a manual or scheduled backup job.
  • Reload the File Viewer page, click the configured backup set. You should be able to access the feature.
  • Under the assumption that you have already ran a backup job on this backup set, but haven't enabled the File Viewer yet:
  • Login to your AhsayCBS web management console.
  • Go to Users, Groups and Policies.
  • Select the backup user containing the backup set you want to check for Online File Restorer.
  • Click File Viewer.
  • On the backup set you intend to use, click the hyperlinked text File Viewer is disabled. Click to enable.
  • Scroll down and tick off the checkbox within the File Viewer section.
  • Click Save.
  • You'll see the warning message "Please run backup to server in latest version."
  • To resolve the warning message, run a new backup job (manual or scheduled).
  • Reload the File Viewer page, click the configured backup set. You should be able to access the feature.

B. Download and install the Online File Restorer

  1. From the File Viewer page, select a backup set you intend to check the contents of.
  2. Select what to view: Choose from files as of job and select a particular version or Choose from ALL files.
  3. After verifiying the files and/or folders you intend to restore, below Select What to View, click the hyperlinked text Restore backup files.
  4. The AhsayCBS Online File Restorer will automatically be downloaded. Click on the downloaded file to install.
  5. Once the installation is done, the AhsayOBR file will launch automatically.

C. Restore files using the AhsayCBS Online File Restorer

  1. Before entering your credentials, select Show advanced option.
  2. Configure the network settings using the backup server provided by your backup service provider.
  3. Enable Proxy if needed.
  4. Click OK then login using your credentials.
  5. Enter the encryption key to access your backup set.
  6. Take note: Clicking Cancel or closing AhsayOBR will shut down the software completely. If you wish to use AhsayOBR again after the software closed, you will have to go back to the installation process to launch it again.
  7. Select what to restore: Choose from files as of job and select a particular version or Choose from ALL files.
  8. Select the files and/or folders you aim to restore.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Select where to restore your files to: Original or Alternate location
  11. Configure the Show advanced option if preferred.
  12. Click Restore.
