Microsoft Azure provides an excellent platform for storing backup data with an added layer of security using the immutable storage feature. This blog post will guide you on how to create a backup set with an immutable Microsoft Azure standard destination on AhsayOBM.

We are using a File Backup Set for the following example but these steps apply to other Backup Sets as well.

On the destination screen. Click on "+" to add a new storage destination for your backup data.

From the Destination storage list, select "Microsoft Azure".

Enter the destination name, i.e., MicrosoftAzure-immutable.
Note: If you intend to enable the immutable setting for this Microsoft Azure destination. A Share Access Signature Token must be used instead of the Access Key. Which does not contain "delete permission" privilege. -
Click on [Immutable] option.

Enter the Storage Account Name, Shared Access Token, Region, and Container.

Click on [Test] to continue.

After "Test completed successfully" is shown. Click on [OK] to continue.

Verify the destination has immutable setting enabled. Click on [Next] to continue.

Use default value. Click on [Next] to continue.

Use default encryption setting. Click on [Next] to continue.

Click on [Confirm] to continue.

Backup Set successfully created.
