Here are the steps to collect VMware internal log files for troubleshooting:
For VMware ESXi Server
- Access from VMware Web Client and choose "Generate support bundle".
- Login with root access when prompted for authentication.
- Collect tgz file downloaded.
For VMware vCenter Server
- Access VMware Web Client of ESXi Server one by one and collect log as independent VMware ESXi Server.
- Collect all tgz files downloaded from each ESXi Server.
Please do not use "Export System Logs..." on VMware Web Client in VMware vCenter because the log files are not completed in exported file.
